Roberto Ucelay Jorge

Roberto Ucelay Jorge, a leader in the family’s investment and holdings portfolio, has been a driving force in hospitality and real estate development. He has over seen the growth of over 400 commercial and leisure real estate assets in Tenerife, valued over €100 million, including projects like Playa Fañabé and Bahía Avalos. His diverse portfolio includes shopping malls, golf courses, apart-hotels, and more. He has also ventured into other industries, such as beer branding and motor distribution. A graduate of ESADE business school with both a BSc and an MBA, Roberto serves on various industry boards and is currently focused on developing La Gomera Avalos Resort.

Olga Ucelay Sabina

Olga Ucelay Sabina, a visionary in the financial and real estate sectors, began her career in private banking at Banco Exterior de España, gaining valuable financial expertise. She transitioned to her family’s business, partnering with her brother Roberto Ucelay Sabina to spearhead significant hotel and real estate projects. In 1982, she successfully managed the “Los Cardones Boutique Village” hotel in Tenerife, followed by the “Lagos de Fañabé” Hotel in 1987, handling both marketing and comprehensive management. Throughout the 1990s, Olga led various real estate ventures, including managing several shopping centers like Fañabé I, Litoral, Fañabé Plaza, and the pioneering Gran Sur Shopping Center. Her executive role extended to overseeing real estate projects like 90 Homes in El Galeón, Mirador del Golf, and the Sun Bay Villas project in Amarilla Golf.

Roberto Ucelay Sabina

Roberto Ucelay Sabina, an inspiring Industrial Engineer and entrepreneur, founded Urbanización Playa Fañabé, S.A. (UPF). Beginning his journey in the tobacco industry with CITA, he later, alongside his siblings, diversified into automotive, food and beverage, construction, and infrastructure sectors through various successful companies. In 1982, Roberto ventured into tourism with Lagos de Fañabé and Los Cardones Resorts, further expanding into beer production with Cervezas Anaga and the REINA brand in 1997. His vision led UPF to develop numerous properties, including hotels, apartments, and commercial centers, along with beach and real estate services, holiday packs, import and sale of plants, flowers and outdoor furniture. culminating in the ambitious Ávalos project on Gomera Island.

Cloris Ucelay Jorge

Cloris Ucelay Jorge, a dynamic member of the Urbanización Playa Fañabé, S.A. (UPF) board, started her career at Andersen in Barcelona, focusing on a project with General Motors. After earning her degree in Business Management from Abat Oliba-CEU University, she joined Comercial Aguere, S.A. in Tenerife, distinguishing herself in the internal audit department across various sectors, including IT, construction, and the brewery industry. Her role evolved at UPF, where she managed the development of multiplex cinemas in Gran Sur Commercial Centre and excelled as an investment analyst. She also held positions as Executive Director and manager of prominent tourism companies, contributing significantly to the group’s accounting audits and financial analysis.

Juan José Bacallado Ucelay

Juan José Bacallado joined the UPF in 1996 and has contributed across various sectors of the business, including construction, tourism, real estate, and automotive. He began his career in auditing before transitioning to finance as the Director of the Finance Department. In 2000, he became the Director of real estate development, managing numerous projects on the island of La Gomera. Since 2004, he has served as the administrator for most of the group’s companies, alongside Roberto Ucelay. Juan José holds a background in economics and a Master’s in Environmental Impact Assessment, and his career illustrates a commitment to innovation, success, and leadership within the organization.

Ana Ucelay Jorge

Ana Ucelay Jorge is an energetic professional responsible for Marketing and Corporate Image within her organization. Educated at Collège Alpin International Beau Soleil and IQS, Universitat Ramon Llull her professional career spans over a decade. Her roles include marketing at Bear Publishing, sales at Canauto Company S.A., and strategic marketing at Cervezas Anaga SA in Tenerife. Known for strong leadership and creativity, Ana’s adaptability and determination set her apart in her field. Her personal interests, such as travel, photography, cinema, theater, and music, contribute to her holistic approach to marketing.

Roberto Bacallado Ucelay

A Business Dynamo in Tourism and Food Sectors. Roberto Bacallado Ucelay, with an MBA from Business School, Tenerife and an HND in Business Administration from La Laguna University, has an illustrious career, bridging the Food and Tourism sectors.
Starting in 1995, Roberto made his mark as an Accountant Officer at General Importadora Canaria, S.A., spearheading the company’s import and sales strategies. By 1998, he was guiding Urbanización Playa de Fañabé, S.A., Costa-Adeje, southern Tenerife, not only overseeing accounting but later broadening his horizons as the Director of Administration. Currently, as a shareholder and the General Director of F&B at Sand and Sea Resorts, S.L., Roberto’s expertise shines through, managing pivotal restaurants like “El Jardín” and “La Tosca” in Hotel Lagos de Fañabe, Costa-Adeje, Tenerife.
